The Rho Hotel stands on Dam Square's edge, 950 metres from Amsterdam Central Railway Station. Its lobby is an impressive Art Deco-style former theatre offering free Wi-Fi. Rooms feature satellite TV, a refrigerator, and private bathroom with shower. Breakfast is served overlooking Dam Square, with nearby Kalverstraat shopping and public transport. The Anne Frank House and Rembrandt House Museum are within walking distance.

The location is very good but the guy at the lobby acted very suspicious (Francesco) insisted a lot on getting the deposit in cash (100 eu per room) which would be refunded once they confirmed we had not smoked in the room but would not give us a timeframe or protocol to know when and how they would pay the deposit back, the rooms smelled a lot aince we got there and we got the feeling he knew that and wanted to get the deposit in vaah bc of that. Rooms were smelly, the reception guy was acting suspicious, unclear policies about deposit, extra fees not listed on booking were tried to get charged in cash.

The central location is great. The hotel urgently needs renovation.

De ligging. Totaal onaanvaardbaar dat in dit hotel in Amsterdam Centrum niemand nog Nederlands spreekt. Mijn naam, DE SCHRIJVER stond zelfs in hun reservatiebestand ogenomen als THE WRITER!
