The room was spacious and comfortable, and the pool was very nice. The resort is a bit remote, we knew this and had arranges transport. There is also tuktuks available. During our stay, there was quite a bit of rubbish on the beach, which was disappointing. We also felt the staff could have been a bit warmer and more welcoming during our stay

The bed was fine, but everything else was a letdown: no diving, workers building nearby, no Wi‑Fi, the breakfast was really poor, and the restaurant was terrible.

We absolutely loved our stay at Salamangka Resort! Everything was beautiful, from the resort itself to the lovely atmosphere. The service was excellent and everyone was so kind and welcoming. We also really enjoyed the pool area and the drinks and service there. Overall, such a relaxing and beautiful place to stay — we would definitely come back! ❤️. The only things we felt could be improved were the restaurant and the Wi-Fi. The restaurant was a little expensive for the quality, so we felt the price-to-quality ratio could be better. The Wi-Fi was also quite unreliable, which was especially inconvenient on an island where mobile coverage is very limited and you have to rely heavily on the resort’s connection

The facilities were pretty good, matching the pictures, and there’s a gym with a few machines and a treadmill. The restaurant food didn’t live up to its price, and the hotel’s transport services—like the port shuttle and motorbike rentals—were outrageously expensive for the Philippines; the hotel charged 25 euros for a trip to the port, while Grab in Panglao would only cost 5 euros for the same distance and time. We were charged the same rate both ways, even though the return trip had four extra people. The location is fine if you’re staying inside the hotel and want sea views, but you’ll need a motorbike to get around. We don’t recommend renting the motorbike from the hotel, because after the rental we were hit with an extra fee for gravel that had gotten into the tire tread—a completely random thing that wasn’t our fault.

The staff were great—always welcoming and helpful with a smile. The room was very spacious and well equipped. The food at the resort restaurant was also surprisingly good. The internet connection was slow and sometimes not available. A premium resort could provide a Starlink connection if this is an infrastructure problem on the island. If you come here to disconnect and relax it won’t be a problem, but if you need a few hours a day of stable connection, take it into account because cellular reception is also very weak.
