The hosts were very welcoming, offering homemade cake and tea or coffee on arrival. The breakfast was the best ever, all local farm ingredients. They provided a local map with directions to eateries and places of interest. No dislikes.

From the moment we arrived, Peter and Stuart made us and our little dog feel welcome. It was a lovely touch to be served coffee and homemade cake on arrival, and they even helped carry our luggage up to our room. The room was well appointed and clean, the bed was comfy and we slept like logs! We went to the little in‑house bar on our first night, it was warm and cosy and the prices were fair. The breakfast the next morning was absolutely fabulous, all locally sourced and cooked to perfection. Nothing was too much trouble, more coffee, more toast, whatever you wanted. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most definitely be coming back. Somewhere to hang coats if it’s been raining as it’s not practical to put wet things in the wardrobe, and maybe spoons for the coffee. Not a criticism just a suggestion.

We felt very welcome and the attention to detail was second to none. Breakfast was delicious, room very comfortable, location peaceful. Hosts kindly provide parking discs usable at many locations in North Yorkshire.

Breakfast was excellent with high‑quality produce. The area is nice but a bit hilly for those with limited mobility.
