The huge, fantastic pool was for everyone, and the place was very quiet on the outskirts – a plus and a minus at the same time. The owner was wonderful. We arrived during a heatwave from Africa (our reservation included an apartment without air‑conditioning), but we managed to switch to an air‑conditioned unit (otherwise we’d be in trouble). I highly recommend checking out the charming retired horse that the owner kindly adopted, named Bertino; he reacts to whistles and likes carrots, apples, and watermelon (just a few pieces per day!). From the heart, I recommend the local bakery in Valpiana (note it’s not on Google Maps – I found it too late!). A bit better kitchen equipment (e.g., dish soap) would be a no‑cost, big‑help for guests. Forgetting to buy it means a 20‑km trip on a bike that isn’t yours 😬 But that’s just a nuisance; the trip was still successful.

I liked the location and the ability to keep dogs in semi‑outdoor areas, but most of all the total independence. Some services were missing, but nothing that I couldn’t do without or arrange differently.

“Relaxing and fantastic stay with great hosts. Would go again”

The staff were fantastic and really helpful, and the views were lovely while the pool was great. The place was quiet, well located for getting around, and we had a great time exploring the area; the olive oil from the location was fabulous. We knew we were staying in an apartment without air conditioning, but that would have been nice, especially since we were there during a heat wave. The kitchen space is a little small but manageable.

The location is very good, whether you want to head to the beach, the countryside, or go out for dinner in the evening. The pool was very well maintained and nice. The kitchen equipment left something to be desired, so guests probably expect to eat out.

“Appartamento ampio e molto confortevole!”

We stayed at the property during a sporting event in Massa Marittima. The apartment was very large, rooms extremely spacious and well furnished, with very comfortable beds. The bathroom was new and supplied with a courtesy kit. Cleanliness was impeccable. The kitchen was well equipped with everything needed. The pool was very beautiful. The panoramic position was in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by vines and olive trees. The staff were very kind and helpful. It was convenient to the main road, and there was free parking on site. We will definitely come back next time we visit Massa M.ma! The only suggestion would be to install mosquito nets, given the rural location of the property; they would be especially useful in the autumn when insects are trying to get in.
