Altstadthotel Kasererbräu, a historic hotel dating back to 1342, is family-run and centrally located in Salzburg's pedestrian zone at the foot of Hohensalzburg Fortress. Individually furnished rooms feature antique and modern designs, some with free-standing bathtubs. The hotel offers a buffet breakfast, Italian restaurant, nearby parking, and easy access to Salzburger Dom, Mozart's birthplace, and traditional Austrian restaurants.

The location is great, but the shower area is so small that water splashes everywhere.

The central location and welcoming atmosphere were nice, but the bathroom in my room was small.

The hotel sits in a great spot in the old town, yet its old building means the corridors and carpets need an upgrade.

The hotel is small but spotless, and the staff were very helpful; breakfast was excellent, the elevator is tiny, it’s close to the old town and fort, and everything is within walking distance, plus there’s a great restaurant right next to the hotel that was very convenient.
