It was self‑catering. The place was clean and tidy overall, but there were many cobwebs on and around the veranda outside and a few on the high beams of the ceiling.

The location is lovely and the lodge is a good size. There was quite a lot of road noise from the A1 and the quarry during the week, but it didn’t spoil our enjoyment.

The cabins are very spacious with parking right outside. They are also well equipped and clean. They could definitely use air‑con in the living room, which would help cool the whole cabin.

The spot’s spot‑on, and the lodges sit just far enough from the hotel and golf course to give you a sense of privacy while still being close enough to hit the facilities. Inside, though, it was sweltering even with the windows and doors open.

Everything was spotless, warm, and comfy with excellent beds, and parking was a breeze. The club house served up tasty food, beer, and wine. This was our fifth visit—halfway between family and home—and we always come to see the Ospreys; the hotel lives up to that standard. Thanks!
