“Excelente!”

My husband and I loved our stay; great value, comfortable bed, good air conditioning, clean rooms, and a delicious breakfast with variety; we drove a 4x4 through the town of Coqueiros and returned via the beach to Costa Azul at Mangue Seco, which is super calm by 4x4—just lower the tire pressure. If we’d known we could go by beach we’d have stayed there instead, which is much better. We used a Jeep Compass. These details are meant to help future guests. We parked our car in front of the lodge; in Mangue Seco you can walk everywhere, the place is tiny. Worth a visit. Thanks, Dona Dione, for the exceptional reception and hospitality. Only gratitude! No complaints.

“Boa”

The location is great, right in front of the sea canal, and the breakfast on the first day was decent, but it really improved as more guests arrived toward the weekend and the staff could have focused more on that. The bathroom had a maintenance issue: a tape was needed on the water tap to prevent shocks, so proper grounding is required. The breakfast could use more attention.

“Foi muito boa!!!”

The breakfast was surprisingly good – a decent buffet with fresh coffee and a few tasty pastries. I didn’t run into any problems otherwise, so the stay was pretty straightforward.

The hotel’s spot is spot‑on and the staff were genuinely welcoming, which made checking in easy. Unfortunately, the shower was a nightmare – the tap was wrapped in electrical tape and gave me a little shock, and the bathroom needed a lot of fixing overall.
