The historic home was spotless, beautifully appointed, and filled with charming period furnishings and artwork, and its location is convenient to downtown and the river.

Joe prepared a delicious multi‑course breakfast on both mornings we stayed, served on beautiful tableware, and shared plenty of insight into the home, its history, and his family; we also enjoyed a private piano concert before dinner one day, making it feel like staying in a museum. The guest quarters were in a separate cottage with two bedrooms and a bathroom, but the room TV didn’t work for us and the shower/bathroom could use a bit of updating, though everything functioned just fine.

A secluded, spotless, and cozy cottage. Every morning’s breakfast was outstanding, and Joseph has catered to all our needs during the three stays we’ve had. We’ll be back soon! The only issue was a few mosquitoes on the porch one evening, but the host supplied bug repellent. I’m allergic to repellents, so that was the only drawback.

We had a fantastic stay at this charming historic home; it felt like living inside a museum! The house was beautiful, spotless, and situated in a great, walkable area. Joe was an exceptional host with a wealth of knowledge about the Stone House, and his detailed tour of the relatives who once lived there was a highlight; we also enjoyed chatting with him. His dog, Precious, added to the property’s charm. Besides being a fantastic host, Joe is a wonderful cook, and breakfast was exquisite and beautifully presented in the formal dining room. The bed was highly comfortable, and we loved the privacy of our own cottage. If you’re visiting Natchez, we highly recommend staying at the Stone House! - Francisca & Jim Nothing else! Everything was exceptional!
