The Swamp Fox is in a perfect spot and looks great inside. Every corner feels comfy, and there are nice spots to chill and watch boats, pelicans, and paddle steamers drift by. It’s just a short walk to Goolwa Town Centre for cafés and bakeries, and there are lovely walking and bike paths along the river. The Goolwa Cockle Train Station is only a 5‑minute walk away, and the steam train ride is a fantastic, scenic, and well‑priced experience. Overall, a truly fabulous stay—thanks, Swamp Fox Barge, for something so unique and awesome.

“Pleasant”

The cabin feels really homely and nicely decorated, which made our stay comfortable, but the parking situation left us uneasy – the car area didn’t feel secure at all. It’s a nice spot if you can sort out the vehicle safety yourself.

The place is absolutely gorgeous – every corner looks picture‑perfect and I could easily have spent a week there just soaking it all in. Nothing else to complain about.

We spent Christmas on the barge with the family and it turned into a truly memorable holiday; the whole thing was decked out with personal touches and a fantastic spread of breakfast goodies. Annie and James were on top of communication the whole time, making everything run smoothly. We’re already hoping to return someday.
