We were disappointed despite the charm and potential of the historic building. The positives—breakfast, great location (12 minutes on foot to SparkassenPark), and otherwise appealing room furnishings—couldn’t offset the absolute no‑go’s. We complained about a cigarette‑smell in the room despite the no‑smoking rule (the staff apologized and offered compensation), a huge yellow stain on a duvet that was simply disgusting (see photo), and the unprofessional response from the self‑described “boss” who blamed Booking or seemed to dismiss the issues and only wanted to forward them to the top manager. The constant noise from a 120‑person wedding in room 301 kept going late into the night, and the hotel management or staff said nothing at any point. In such a small hotel, they should have closed the venue or avoided renting other rooms. We paid 211 € and the lost sleep hours were not even compensated with a few kind words.
