I read a review about excess and lights and it was spot on. The price is fine and the common areas are acceptable. The cleaning lady usually has a good attitude, but this time her manners were not very pleasant, unlike another volunteer who worked at the hostel. The guys were more pleasant. I arrived on a Sunday and there were people making noise at 2 am. Common rules are not really enforced… I guess it’s acceptable for groups… but among all the places I’ve been in my destination in CR, this one disappointed me the most. Noise and other issues.

Everything was amazing, especially the staff. They were friendly and helpful all the time. No complaints at all.

The place is right next to the national park, and they let you borrow bikes for groceries or just to cruise around. Breakfast was always fresh and tasty, and the vibe felt very international. Mauro was great, explaining everything in English for my girlfriend who doesn’t speak Spanish. The bathrooms stayed clean, and the kitchen was spotless even though we didn’t use it. If you want a tour, Mauro and Jose are the go‑to guys. It’s super quiet, feels safe, and I’d definitely come back.

The hostel was really nice, and the room was comfortable with a small terrace. It was a relaxed spot that felt like a home away from home.
