The family was amazing—warm, welcoming, and real Armenians as we love them! We enjoyed chatting with our host, even though the language barrier was a challenge; he made a lot of effort and was fascinating. The dogs were affectionate too. The room was a small apartment in the house with a private bathroom and toilet. The bed was comfortable, everything was very clean, and we felt at ease. We shared a dinner with them; everything came from their farm—potatoes, fruit, vegetables, and even fish from the nearby pond! Breakfast was just as good, and fortunately less heavy. The road is a bit winding, but it’s still doable in Berlin. When you arrive in the village, ask for directions or click on the “guest house Olaverdi” marker on Google Maps. Just bring your Google Translate app; the conversations are warm and worth the effort!

“Echte Gastfreundschaft in einem urigen Dorf in naturbelassener Berglandschaft”

We really liked staying at the Guesthouse. The warm welcome was a delight. The food was varied and tasty, prepared from the hosts’ own products such as trout, vegetables, and cheese. All four rooms have private bathrooms and toilets. The Guesthouse is quiet on the edge of a pristine village with very friendly locals. We gained many respectful insights into rural life there. Thanks again to Nana and Horvik for their hospitality and pleasant conversations.

The host was welcoming, and the stay was nice. Everything they offer is grown by them. Unfortunately we weren’t hungry, because they have a trout pond, so you can get it fresh for dinner or lunch for an extra fee. Nothing else to comment on.

We absolutely loved staying with Nana and Ovik! We chose this guesthouse because it was central to the sights we wanted to see in the area. We discovered more than just a house—a real home. The couple welcomed us into a very pretty, very clean house. Nana cooks incredible meals with the vegetables and animals the couple raise nearby. If you pass by, stop and take care of these people! They are more than hosts to us: they’re friends, a family!
