The hotel sits in a great spot, the beds are comfy, and you get good value for the price—typical of a Tuscan hotel. I wish there were drink‑making facilities in the room.

The directions to the hotel could use improvement; if you miss the last entrance, you’ll wander for another two kilometres before finding the right spot. The parking is about 200 metres away, but you still have to walk those two kilometres to reach the hotel and load your luggage. I would have liked the breakfast included in the price, even if it meant raising the rate. The restaurant is good.

This is a truly lovely hotel for anyone heading to Impruneta (terracotta!). The exterior is classic and the interior is set up in the same style, yet it offers modern comfort. The atmosphere is charming in every way. The breakfast room is gorgeous with an excellent breakfast, and an older gentleman carefully monitored and restocked supplies. The manager is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is also fine, with top Chianti at €20 per bottle right next door. There’s no private parking, but a large free parking lot is 200 metres away. And yes, the beautiful, spacious rooftop terrace is a highlight. The only issue was having to climb a few stairs.
