“Good place but needs more customers”
The place was quiet and the staff were friendly, but it freaked us out at first because we were the only guests on the whole property and the signs made it clear that it was not a bustling spot, even though everything else was kept up.
The hotel and room were lovely, and despite the off‑season low staff numbers, they were very hospitable and cooperative, so the stay was very good.
We arrived around 23:30 for a two‑night stay, and by 8 a.m. the next day we were already leaving. The outside may look nice at first glance, but the room was simply uninhabitable: stained, torn sheets, a bathroom in a catastrophic state with obvious lack of hygiene. If there is a sanitation service in Sri Lanka, this place should be urgently inspected. See the photos for yourself. I can’t understand how this place still gets positive reviews.
The pool was great, and even though we stayed during the off‑season when the staff were fewer, they were very welcoming and helpful, making the stay overall good; the only downside was that the food could have been better.
The best accommodation on the four‑week trip, a fantastic room, huge pool, and an amazing team that handled everything. The kitchen, service, room service, gardener, and tuk‑tuk driver were all so nice and helpful. Every evening we ate delicious food (Kottu, shrimp, pasta, chicken) and every morning enjoyed a great breakfast. They cooked extra at night to our wishes. Everything was arranged! Two house cats and a neighbor cat are lovingly cared for. In the beautiful garden you can watch monkeys, various birds, and of course cute squirrels. We felt so comfortable that we’ll come back next year! Thanks to everyone! Nothing negative.
