Marcela and Ricardo were very friendly and explained everything in detail, told us where to dine and what sights to see. That day the house was empty and she even offered us another room if we wanted. Everything was clean and cozy; parking is possible right at the door because the street is wide. The kitchen has teas, which was great for us.

The welcome was very warm. The lodging was exceptional, quiet, and in the heart of the historic area. The hosts are very accommodating and go the extra mile to satisfy your requests. They’ll tell you about the village’s rich history if you ask. Marcella is a very caring house‑mother, and I also liked Ricardo’s subtle humour. Having stayed with locals before, the Andrades are by far my best experience.

The host was super friendly, the location great, and the room amazing. They helped me store my motorbike under a cover. I enjoyed a lovely walk to the castle and the full kitchen and washing machine were a godsend! I curled up by the fire in the living room. Bonus: it’s close to Serra da Estrela Nature Park, worth exploring. Perfect spot for an overnight stop on a motorbike trip!
