Just a few steps from the beach, the place is quiet and the value is amazing. The dinner table is shared with tourists, so you meet people from all over, which is great. The owner is very helpful, even finding cars or scooters for guests. True travelers are interesting to meet. My room was clean when I arrived, and that’s how it stayed. A British guest smoked right outside my door, and she left a bad review because she was frustrated; I told her I’d do it in England. The owner refunded some German guests who seemed to dislike people of color, which was generous, even though he wasn’t obliged. Those Germans left a bad review. He was friendly to me, but it’s sad that in 2026 we still have demanding guests who don’t appreciate it. Old smokers aren’t respectful; they need to be told. Frustrated guests who lie in their comments are a problem.

The location was fine. I had a key that didn’t work from outside; the owner fixed it, but then water leaked through the ceiling after it rained. I was moved to another room that wasn’t clean, and then moved again to a room below my standards. Ants appeared in the kitchen area one day with no water; it was fixed after an hour of reporting. The owner was very nice, but overall the living area and rooms were not clean. I bought disinfectant, cleaning cloths, and toilet paper myself because only one roll was given for a two‑week stay.

The spot is great, surrounded by greenery and a short walk to a nice beach, away from the tourist crowds. If you don’t care much for luxury and huge comfort but appreciate individuality, this place is perfect. A parking spot is right on the property. Breakfast on the terrace, surrounded by birds and geckos, is a delight! I had trouble finding the accommodation because there are no house numbers and Google Maps showed the opposite side of the street, so I wandered around and asked everyone. Finally I called the landlord, who came out and greeted me. In the morning a neighbor’s rooster crowed very early, and earplugs didn’t help, but I didn’t find it too bad—it’s part of the experience.
