I found the hotel clean and well maintained, but it was annoying to have to pay extra for parking after already paying a fair price for the stay, which felt like a cash grab.

The area is beautiful and the walks around the property are pleasant, yet the room photo was misleading: I stayed on the ground floor with no blinds or net curtains, cars parked inches from my window, and strangers could see in. The double room lacked a chair and side table as advertised, and the facilities feel outdated and poorly kept—no coffee machine or fridge. I called reception, but they blamed Booking for inaccurate images instead of addressing the problems.

The bedroom was extremely dark and poorly lit, and a constant whirring from the air system made the noise unbearable; the front‑desk staff’s attitude was appalling.

The common areas were decent, but the bed was unbearably noisy—every shift produced a loud squeak that disturbed our 4‑month‑old. Paying over £150 a night for a shower curtain that was missing, while photos show a glass screen, feels outrageous; the hotel is far too pricey for its standard.
