Hotel Schweizer Hof

“Nicht zur Strasse hin übernachten.”

Close to the old town, breakfast was fantastic and a treat for tea lovers. However, the street in front of the hotel, including the bus stop, was extremely loud (Room 104). Furniture was everywhere and some veneers were peeling. The carpet had unsightly stains. The bathroom was very small, there was no minibar or fridge, and the air‑conditioning was noticeably absent during warm weather, adding to the street noise. Parking was far too expensive.

The location is great, the staff are very pleasant, courteous, and attentive, the room is warm, clean, and comfortable. It’s right next to and opposite the train station. We left very early; they packed our breakfast into bags and served hot coffee at 5 am before we checked out. If we ever return to Kassel, we’ll come back here 🫰🏻. The only downside was the lack of disposable slippers, but that’s not critical.

I liked the location near Bahnhof Wilhelmshöhe, the room was big and the staff were friendly, but the price felt a bit on the higher side.

“Optimal als Zwischenstopp für Durchreisende”

The spot is well‑situated close to Bahnhof Wilhelmshöhe, very quiet, and the breakfast was good.

The place is close to the seminar centre, but the room on the street was noisy at night even with the window shut.
