I called an hour before I got there and they actually held the room for me, which was a relief. The place itself is spotless and roomy, and the staff are genuinely friendly. The only downside is that you’ll find a few unwanted critters around, so a pest control treatment would be welcome.

The shared dorms are huge, and the bathroom is surprisingly impressive—big enough to feel like a spa. The mattress is firm and comfortable, and they even tossed extra blankets our way when we asked. All in all, a very pleasant stay.

The location can’t be beat and the common kitchen area is kept really tidy. Unfortunately the ceiling fan rattles a lot and one of the windows sticks, which was a bit annoying. The bathroom works fine and the bedding is comfy, though we ended up joking about fighting over the better pillow.

This hostel sits in a great part of town, the people there are super warm, and the rooms feel comfortable enough to relax in after a day of exploring. I didn’t run into any real issues during my stay.

The building is freshly renovated and everything feels brand‑new; Mariana and Helena were amazing hosts who made us feel right at home with their upbeat energy. On the flip side, I had to endure cold showers for two nights, and the owners took over the kitchen and lounge for a dinner party, leaving us with nowhere to cook or hang out, so we ended up eating out.
