Our room was spacious and clean, with a big desk, a mirror, and a window overlooking the indoor courtyard from above. The staff were always ready with a smile. The stay was on a road parallel to Jonker Street, so it was quiet yet still central.

The house had a quaint look, and the interior featured pretty bricks. Someone smoked outside, and the ventilation system let the smoke drift in. The room was small, so two people felt cramped, especially with luggage.

Room 203 had a paint smell. I told the front desk, but no alternate room was available that day; only on the second day did I get a change to room 204.

Everything was perfect: the location, the host, the rooms—couldn’t ask for a better stay in Malacca. In fact, I don’t stay anywhere else in Malacca except here.
