“L'Americano - Ein sehr schöne historische villa in Nähe des Zentrum von Chiavari”

The historic house is very beautiful and impressive, just like in the pictures. The proximity to Chiavari’s historic centre is very convenient; you’re there quickly, and there are shops right around the corner. The beach is also not far. The rooms are not very large but are furnished with originality. A small bottle of sparkling wine was offered at reception, which was very friendly of the hosts. It would have been nice to meet the owners (which did happen, but by chance). The rooms are on the 2nd floor without an elevator, which was fine for us, but could be difficult for someone with mobility issues – I don’t know if that’s clearly stated in the description. The supplies of soap, shampoo, towels, etc. are rather Spartan, but Genoa isn’t very far, and Genoese are supposedly more frugal than the Scots.

The room was very nice, yet there was no cleaning service and no extra trash bags provided, so you had to change them yourself; for the price you’re paying, that should be included.
