“Ok but could do with a refesh of the rooms”

We sat outside on a tiny patio with the provided table, and the fridge was a nice extra. Tea and coffee were in the room, but we had to ask for more tea bags because only one was left after the room was prepared for us. The spa rates, even with discounts, were still much higher than what we pay at home. As a golf hotel we expected a lot of activity, yet the noise from several golf societies having a loud weekend was a bit too much around the bar on Sunday night. We went out to eat on Sunday and didn’t dine there at all. By Monday it was much quieter, but we still ate out because the food outside offered better value than the hotel. The rooms looked a bit worn and could use a refresh; the carpet in the rooms and corridors showed signs of wear.

“We were disappointed that the heating didn't work and that the portable heater was not delivered.”

The spot was decent, but the room was chilly because a window stayed open, and the radiator didn’t work. We rang Reception, followed their steps, the lights switched on but no heat. They said no Maintenance was available and gave us an extra quilt and a portable heater, yet the heater never arrived.

“Friendly reception team, accessible room is very good for a wheelchair user.”

Overall, the hotel’s pretty solid and the staff were friendly. If you’re there to play golf, you’ll be thrilled, and the accessible room suited my disabled husband well. The accessible bedroom sits at the front, so everyone passes it to reach their rooms, and it’s opposite the lift. We got a little annoyed by people walking past or waiting for the lift and chatting; a sign reminding guests they’re entering the accommodation area might help. Breakfast was a buffet and acceptable, though it could have been hotter; I understand that’s tricky with a buffet. When ordering for two people, with my husband in a wheelchair, I felt like a relay runner for hot drinks, juice, and food.

“Fantastic lady on reception 11/9/2026 day shift.”

The lady at reception on Friday 11/9/2026 during the day shift was fantastic—professional, pleasant, and uplifting. She arranged a taxi drop‑off for my wife and me in an area where it seemed there were no taxis. We’re grateful. The bathroom really needed a spruce‑up.
