We had a memorable stay in this beautiful château during our bike tour around the Champagne region. Just spotting it from a distance as we pedaled tired toward it, hoping it was our destination, lifted our spirits. The building is stunning, well kept, and maintained by the owners. We enjoyed a bottle of wine from the excellent list on the garden terrace before dinner, then a lovely home‑prepared dinner in the restaurant. Our room was large, very comfortable, and the bathroom modern and spacious. We could recharge our e‑bikes in the garage for the next day. It felt very special staying here, and our only regret was that it was just one night.

Everything – from A to Z – was absolutely excellent and/or lovely. We highly recommend staying at Le Petit Château while visiting the region; it is definitely a “must‑have” stay. Nothing!

The personal and authentic hospitality was great. Le Petit Château is run by a charming Dutch woman and her Flemish husband: she greets and serves with enthusiasm, while he prepares delicious, fresh dishes in the kitchen. On nice days you can dine in the garden with the house’s mop dog as entertaining company. The château itself exudes French charm, yet inside it’s modern and tastefully decorated. Everything was impeccably clean and well maintained, with nice towels, luxury soap and a keen eye for detail. You can feel they run it with love and care. The only downside was the price level; I’m willing to pay more for quality and personal service, but some prices seemed very steep – a cola cost €5 in my opinion.

The room was very comfortable and the hotel is pretty. However, the hotel is next to a farm and I was woken up by farm machinery at 5 am. Dinner was quite pricey, the dish was decent but the cheese was supermarket‑grade… quite disappointing.
