The hotel is very well managed, especially by the association for the visually impaired, but it welcomes everyone. The setting is beautiful and very quiet in the countryside, though it’s a bit confusing that the location is listed as Oberammergau when it’s actually above Bad Saulgrub.

I rarely experience such a positive and friendly staff across reception, restaurant, and breakfast, and the sauna is spacious and beautifully designed, yet the room is quite small for the price and noisy.

Breakfast was good and the new wellness area is pretty, but the room is very dated with many damaged doors and other issues.

We stayed one night in a ground‑floor room with a terrace that let us walk straight up the hill into the forest with our dog; the room was spacious with excellent beds and the breakfast was extensive and tasty, although the dining area feels large and somewhat uncozy.

The place is fantastic, spotless, comfortable, and perfectly situated. Everything was top‑class and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing worth mentioning is how well the hotel is adapted for blind and visually impaired guests, which is a huge plus and shows how well the needs of different guests have been considered. For people who haven’t encountered such facilities before, it might just feel a bit different.
