Located in Shirakawa, 天然温泉白川郷の湯 offers air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms, river views, and tatami floors, featuring tea and coffee makers, refrigerators, work desks, free toiletries, electric kettles, and TVs. The ryokan boasts a hot spring bath, sauna, open-air bath, and terrace, along with a public bath, daily housekeeping, luggage storage, and free parking.

The staff were friendly and the place felt comfortable, but looking up at the sky from the window was difficult.

The staff were very friendly, the service good, and the breakfast and dinner tasty; it’s right at the village entrance of Shirakawa‑go. The rooms and dining room were clean but bland, lacking Japanese charm; the shower on the hallway required a key from reception. Poor lighting made evening walks in the village impossible, and although the public onsen is free, I didn’t use it so I can’t comment.

The ryokan is near the bus terminal so we can walk here within 2 mins. The room does not have a toilet so we used the toilet outside our room. Socks is provided for us to wear in the ryokan. Welcome coffee was provided when we checked in. The dinner and breakfast were delicious too
