Location, vibe and atmosphere. A true pilgrim welcome. I thought I had ordered a room with a private bathroom. It wasn’t a big problem but I was expecting something different.

The family were welcoming, kind and thoughtful. Positive messages were everywhere in the hostel. The dorm had comfortable beds with privacy curtains, drawers and lockers for storage. The massage I had was outstanding, worth the 40 euros for one blissful hour. Breakfast offered plenty of options – the usual cereal, fruit, toast, two types of delicious homemade cakes and hard‑boiled eggs. The location is about 10 steps from the Camino all the way through town just before the bridge, so perfect to start walking the next day. This was my second stay.

Fantastic location at the foot of the historic bridge. Decent breakfast for an additional 8 euros. Warm welcoming host. No fault of theirs, but everyone in my dorm seemed to want to start their days walking long before the sun came up, making it difficult to sleep. The dorm itself was quite stuffy after someone closed the window and turned off the ceiling fan.

The Albergue sits right in the city center, feels cozy and welcoming, and Natalie, the host, was incredibly friendly. After a long walk, the massage facility was a perfect touch.
