We spent just one night at Puqio, and it turned out to be one of the warmest, coziest moments of our trip to Peru—like being welcomed by family. Every member of the team, from drivers to guides to waiters, thought of every detail: hot herbal tea on the drive up, a fireplace in the room, a hot bath, canyon tours, delicious dinner and breakfast, and sweet handmade alpaca wool gifts waiting on the bed ❤️. We learned so much about life in the Colca Canyon! The people were open, heartfelt, and full of fire. From our cabin window, the mountains were visible, and the place was quiet and calm, free from hustle. It’s the perfect spot to stop before or after a trip to Colca Canyon. The drive to the Cruz del Condor viewpoint takes only 40 minutes. I never tried the road snacks—sandwiches and fruit were better elsewhere :) Even though our visit was brief, we left happy and in love with the place. We’ll definitely return for a few more days. Thanks to the entire Puqio team for such heartfelt care!
