We appreciated the responsive host and the comfortable beds, and the location was close to most attractions; the listing matched reality. The place is very basic, only offering air conditioning in the bedroom, but it worked well and kept us cool in mid‑August. However, we struggled with having only one roll of toilet paper for three people and a shortage of towels, though the host addressed these promptly. The lighting was limited, with just one overhead LED and a tiny bedside lamp for one person, making it hard to see in some areas when packing. Overall, the stay was acceptable and the listing accurate, but next time we’d pick a spot that feels a bit more comfortable and welcoming in Tortuguero.
