The rooms were spotless, and although the island can get quite chilly at night, there were plenty of blankets to keep us warm. We struggled a bit with the altitude upon arrival, but fresh Coca and Muña tea helped. Our room offered an incredible view across the lake. Vidal, Sonia, and Elvis were kind and attentive hosts. Before we even arrived, Vidal arranged transport to and from the island and met us at the port. The island is incredibly peaceful and a beautiful way to experience Lake Titicaca.

The room was very clean and cozy with a lovely view, and the host was very helpful. I would have liked more insight into the family’s daily life.

We had a wonderful stay and missed nothing; we’d be back anytime!

The luggage was taken up the mountain on a moped to the accommodation, and the view from the top was great. Payment could be made with a card. The place is far simpler than the photos show. At arrival the toilet flush didn’t work, and we suffered a severe food poisoning from the “good” food at Dane, leading to seven bouts of vomiting and diarrhea; the flush still failed afterward. Transporting our backpacks after a night of vomiting and diarrhea cost 10 Soles, and instead of apologizing, the lady blamed altitude sickness (we had already spent 2.5 weeks above 3000 m and trekked the Inca Trail without altitude sickness, yet we’re still at home with crackers). There was very little empathy or willingness to help. I cannot recommend it.
