“Can’t recommend this place enough. Very special.”
The room was so stylish and comfy. The bathroom had everything we needed and the water pressure was great. The sheets were comfortable and the temperature was good. The dinner included in the booking was absolutely delicious – the steak was to die for. I regret not having pudding, but I was too full. There were great spots around the house to sit with a drink. Nothing else, just wanted to stay longer! I did switch off and it worked well.
“Tucked away country house hotel”
A quiet country hotel tucked away from the road, perfect for a peaceful escape. The pet‑friendly room let us keep our pets’ food in the fridge, which was a nice touch, and the breakfast was well cooked. Unfortunately, the first pet‑friendly room we were offered was an outside portacabin, not the luxury hotel we had booked and paid for. The manager was understanding and we were moved to a room inside the hotel that matched the price we paid.
The staff were friendly, the food excellent, and the location pleasant. However, the pet‑friendly accommodation was not shown in any pictures, which was below our expectations for the price.
“Absolute gem of a hotel!”
Everything! The owners and staff were incredibly friendly. I was a solo traveler with a dog and they could not have been more accommodating. The food was fabulous and the gardens beautiful. All in all – perfect! Nothing.

The main house inside was lovely and the staff were charming. The outside looked scruffy and tired, so we stayed in a chalet‑type room at the back because we had a dog. That room was very tired and needed a fresh coat of paint, which was disappointing, but the staff were still lovely.
