“Good location & cozy”
The location was good. Bathrooms weren’t super clean, but everything worked fine and did the job. I’d still stay here again.

The rustic charm was nice. But a noisy party in the next room, a shower that needed a remodel or cleaning, and beds that could be softer and longer were drawbacks.

The bathrooms were dirty, rusty, and smelled bad; the garbage can was full. I checked in at the store and the staff had no idea. The bathrooms need a complete overhaul. Yuk.

People at the general store and the restaurant (the Wood Shed) are very nice, and the location—50 minutes to the Mt. Rainier National Park entrance—is great. Other hotels outside the park are very expensive. $100 a night for a modest cabin, an external bathroom that isn’t too clean, and an untidy yard around the cabins is too much.

The man I spoke to on the phone was super friendly, but I never met Kim, the on‑site camp host. I liked that the site was away from town and there was no city noise. The showers were extremely dirty; I have no idea when they were last swept and mopped. The grounds look barely kept up, and walking to the water felt longer than advertised, as if the river was supposed to be a bit closer to the cabins.
