We stayed three nights here. The breakfast was, by far, the worst we've had on our trip through Morocco across 14 riads and hotels—little choice, and we had to re‑order coffee and bread multiple times a day. The room key or lock was a joke because it offers no real security—anyone can get in with ease. When we opened the window, a strong smell of urine from outside would regularly seep in. The house was littered with piles of rubble and trash that had been there for a while; the photo shows the view from our room. Wi‑Fi worked only sporadically (usually not at all) and was painfully slow when it did, and it was spotty even within the same room. A cell tower sits right next to the building. The door frames were warped, so the doors clanged in the constant wind and required a lot of force to close, which made a loud noise throughout the house at night. There was also a recurring smell of weed—though it’s a surf spot, it shouldn’t be in the hotel. The whole Sidi Kaouki area was basically a construction site and landfill, with piles of garbage on the beach, though the hotel could do little about that. At a price of €110 per night, the hotel is overpriced because it offers only the bare minimum.
