“So Unprofessional and Wrong Location”

The owner updated a wrong location and confused us about where to go, then told us to go to another location halfway there and asked to cancel the booking. I think he was sleeping at 9am, talking to me like he had just woken up, and was confused. Please double‑check with the owner before booking this unprofessional place. He didn’t know how to send a location from Google and said he had a small phone. The owner was so unprofessional – 10 stars, wasted my day in Weligama.

“Weird experience”

I was looking for the property name but it wasn't listed anywhere, so I called the owner and he hung up before I could locate it. When we finally got inside, we were dropped into the living room and the host started rearranging his mother's bed without telling us what was happening. They offered us chocolate while we waited, yet they never asked for our names or reservation details and just handed us a random room. When I asked about my room, he became defensive and pointed out our online reservations, implying we should find our own rooms. The room itself was not clean—towels had stains, the bathroom was dusty and had a cockroach, and the toilet had insufficient water pressure to flush. Worse, we shared the bathroom with the owner. All in all, a strange experience.

“Dont stay here!”

The location was good and the family was friendly, and the room was cheap with everything you could need in a quiet area. However, it was the dirtiest homestay I've ever seen. I was shocked by insects, dirt, coffee stains, spiders in the ceiling, used toothpicks scattered around, and even clipped nails on my bedside table. The bed linens hadn't been changed from the previous guest and smelled awful. The apartment was not even cleaned, and the toilet hadn't been flushed by the last person. I left immediately.
