The location is great, just a short walk from the station, and the staff were friendly. The facilities need serious upgrades; one shower leaked and is best avoided. The hostel is fine for a maximum of two nights if you plan to use an onsen and be out all day.
The owner was really nice. The location was insanely good for the price. The room was comfortable. The shower got wet easily.

The hostel is very cheap and close to the train station. It’s great. The owner is super friendly; the hostel isn’t the cleanest place in the world but the beds are excellent, comfortable, well prepared, and the air conditioning makes it even better. It’s perfect for a few days of diving or exploring, and the price is unbeatable. People who pay these prices and expect a spa and manicure are out of line.

I was a guest who had a flat tire. The owner was very helpful; he arranged a place to park the bike inside the building, and he’s a bike lover who made my stay enjoyable. A few shops were nearby, and the flat tire was fixed quickly. I’ll use it again when I go to Shimoda or Minamiizu, and I’m glad I found such a good place.
