St. Mary’s Motel

It was the cheapest motel in the area, but as the old adage goes you get what you pay for! The place felt very, very outdated, probably with original furnishings. A terrible smell kept me up all night. The only thing that had been updated was the TV, and if you didn’t have subscriptions you couldn’t watch anything. There were no locks on the doors; it was still a keyed entry. I stayed only because I didn’t want to drive three and a half hours back to my house after the wedding. I would only recommend this facility as a very last resort and bring your own sheets and pillows.

“Beyond redeeming….”

The gentleman who checked us in was very pleasant, but we found bugs between the top sheet and fitted sheet as well as blood stains on the same sheets, so we couldn’t stay even one night in this despicable hotel. We had to prove there were bugs in the bed to get a refund. I can’t believe this place can legally advertise this hotel to anonymous, unsuspecting decent people on the Booking App.

The hotel's modern touches were a nice surprise, like the brand-new TV and office chair. But the rest of the room was a different story - the large TV sat awkwardly on top of the desk, and the office chair was basically unusable. The whole place felt super outdated and in need of a serious renovation. I mean, the window had see-through curtains on a bent rod, and there were even paper glue traps stuck to the wall to catch pests.
