What everyone else apparently missed: the place is gorgeous, very clean, and the owner is a legend.
“Convenient small self check-in rooms”
Convenient and efficient self‑check‑in room if you want to stay at Aoshima. Good price value, though the room is small and gets warm through the windows, which was fine for a one‑night stay.
There was a window in the room, which I guess is nice. It was the first disappointing experience in two months in Japan. The location next to a station had trains waking us up most of the night. Phonic isolation was nonexistent. The room was listed as a studio but was just a room with a shared bathroom. There was one toilet for six rooms on the second floor. The beds were super uncomfortable, and the price/value was not good at all.

Amazing location, clean rooms and nice shared areas. Uncomfortable pillows, a little noisy (nothing earplugs can’t fix).
