The accommodation was top quality and the location was very quiet, with a comfortable room and a great shower that I really enjoyed. I’d definitely stay here again, especially since it was fun to be back in my old primary school after 49 years. The place was a bit warm, but there were plenty of windows to open, so it didn’t bother me.

Everything was fabulous, from start to finish. Little extras like fresh flowers added a special touch, making the stay memorable. We’ll definitely return!

The cottage was lovely and quiet, very clean, and we appreciated having the field across the road to walk our dogs. The shower was great, and Sandra was very helpful when we arrived. However, there was no direct garden access from the door, so we couldn’t just open it for a quick dog pee or to sit out in privacy. I was disappointed that the cottage lacked that. There’s not much to do in the area, and even the surrounding spots require an hour’s travel. The downstairs bedroom was quite cold at night; my husband, who had a cold and chesty cough, struggled to stay warm. I reached out on the third night, and Sandra’s husband adjusted the heating, but it never really turned on. My son slept in the downstairs room with his Oodie over his pajamas because it was so cold that night. My husband had to wear a jacket and blanket while watching TV. Selkirk shuts down around lunchtime or 2–3 pm, which feels old‑fashioned for a tourist town that should stay open longer, so I was also disappointed with the town itself.

The place was very clean with a great shower, a comfy bed, and a spacious room. I also enjoyed the treats, including tea, coffee, milk, and a bottle of water. Nothing to complain about!

The location was lovely and peaceful, making it a great base for exploring the Borders. The ground‑floor bedroom, wet room, and kitchen were easily accessible for someone with disabilities, though the property is ambulatory. Parking was good, and the nearby golf club restaurant was fantastic. We had a squeaky door, but the owner fixed it right away. While it doesn’t have a full‑lit hen, it’s well equipped for snacks with a fridge, grill, toaster, and microwave.
