I was glad there were plenty of blankets because it was really cold, but the towels and pillows were old and the mornings were noisy.

The value for money was good, though the staff hardly stayed on site.

The owner was friendly, the location was great, the shower was excellent, and the hotel was close to the train station and quiet. The room itself was very basic, breakfast lacked fruit, the milk was cold, the TV didn't pick up free channels, there was no antenna for over‑the‑air TV, and only basic Amazon and YouTube were offered.

The price was excellent and it’s close to the train station that goes to São João del Rei, but it’s a bit far from the city center on foot, though a car gets you there quickly.
