I booked this ryokan because I had an early flight from Kagoshima the following day, and I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious, comfortable room complete with all amenities and a private onsen; the staff were welcoming, kind, and spoke English; the dinner was excellent and the drink selection was good, making for a truly nice experience; however, I wish I had stayed longer to explore the area, which seems lovely with the Sogi waterfalls and surrounding mountains offering many hiking options.

From beginning to end, the experience was incredibly premium, with staff constantly going above and beyond to ensure comfort; the dinner and breakfast courses were amazing, the rooms and onsen superb, making this ryokan the perfect escape from busy areas.

The food was fabulous, and the overall experience was great with an amazing room; we requested a private bathing session outdoors, which was lovely; nothing to complain about.
