The room was clean and spacious, the bed was good, and communication was excellent. The shower was blocked when I was using it, but that can be fixed.

A straightforward stay: the location was good, communication with the hosts was great, and check‑in was easy. The downside was a small patch of black mold near the ceiling and a squeaky door that could wake people if you leave early.

Breakfast was not included in the room; meals had to be prepared in the shared kitchen, which was inconvenient because we had to walk through the hallway to our rooms. The room itself was normal, but the building was unfinished. If you’re interested in visiting the castle park, it’s convenient because the building is close to the park. Walking in Aluksne at night is also interesting because the colorful fountains are striking in the dark. Parking was possible in the inner courtyard. Because we knew the apartment had a shared kitchen, we had no reason to complain.
