“Wonderful stay with an amazing view”
The host was friendly, the view was amazing, and the modern house was wonderfully decorated with great facilities! The only thing that could have been better was a separate, dimmer light in the living room for TV time.

From the instant I pulled up and stepped inside, the place blew me away – every detail from the sweeping view to the chic furnishings, vibrant colors, top‑tier fixtures, sleek kitchen, opulent bathroom, premium shower products, spa, and manicured landscaping screamed luxury. I’ve stayed in high‑end spots elsewhere, and Mountain Rise Retreat ranks among the best, yet costs a fraction of those. The owners, a pair of down‑to‑earth Kiwi friends, were absolutely wonderful; I reached out to Carolyn about design choices for my own build and she answered everything I asked. The property is fully independent from the owners, giving guests full autonomy. I strongly recommend Mountain Rise Retreat for anyone visiting Cambridge.
The accommodation was outstanding, with spectacular views – the only downside was the departure experience.
