The reception was so warm that you feel at home right away; the room was cosy and impeccably clean; the evening meal featured local produce cooked brilliantly by the owner; the breakfast offered both sweet and savoury options to our liking; the pool was magnificent (water at 29° with a retractable roof to shield from wind and cold); the owner took great care of us and went out of her way to please; the house is very quiet and located close to Blois. Nothing was missing – everything was perfect!

The place was very cozy and tranquil, quiet at night, and overall a perfect escape from a busy life for a few days; the owners were exceptionally friendly, making it a real joy to stay there; breakfast was very good and I’d recommend it every morning; especially the dinner was where this place truly shines, it’s outstanding! I felt comfortable the whole time and would gladly return; cycling to Chambord and through its park was a delight. The only downside is that without a car it can be a bit trickier to get to the place and to get around, since the town is tiny and lacks amenities (bakery, restaurant, etc.); the local train station is nearby but only serves about 3 to 5 trains per day. I rented a bike for a few days and cycled to the chateaux around.
