“Complètement merveilleux”

The welcome and the little touches upon arrival were great, and the owner reacted quickly to the apartment’s issue, but the hot water in the kitchen was lacking.

The location is very nice, ideal for moving around the whole island, and it also offers a beautiful view; the house is spacious and pleasant, and the host is responsive via message, but the only downside is the humidity, which can cause some odors in the house.

“Unterkunft in bester Lage mit ein paar Nachteilen”

The stay was in September 2026. The apartment is fairly large and in an excellent spot, so you can reach all places on the island within about 30 min by car. You also get a wonderful view of the sea, Pico, and the neighboring island São Jorge, especially from the terrace. Unlike other reviews, we found a clear division of the terraces, so each unit has a “private” section. The furnishings were average for a holiday flat; a sharp knife and a smaller pot would have helped. Communication with the host was excellent—always timely, friendly, and helpful. Unfortunately, the apartment has a very strong musty smell, probably from damp walls, and the odor lingers on clothes after leaving. There were also ants, especially when trash was in the bin, forming a large trail across the dining area; moving the trash temporarily outside helped a bit. The barbecue area was poorly maintained, so we didn’t use it.

The apartment is spacious, but it smells a lot of damp, and the sofa‑bed is quite uncomfortable.
