The location was fine, but the carpet in the room and the bathroom floor looked dirty.

Breakfast was nice, and the restaurant staff were attentive, but the view from my room was very disappointing.

The location was good and the staff were friendly, but the rooms felt tired, had stains on the furniture, and were very compact, even though they were labeled “premium.”

Every summer before school starts, my daughter and I head back to this place—our family tradition, and we never let it down. The staff are always warm and welcoming, and the rooms are spotless, with extra goodies like crisps, chocolate, soft drinks, wine, and beer in certain rooms (I don’t drink, but they’re great little gifts). Tea options are plentiful, and the coffee and hot chocolate are excellent. I always bring my own milk because there’s never enough, but that’s just my preference. We ordered breakfast to the room as usual—maybe my daughter is lazy or just loves the idea of breakfast in bed—and it arrived on time, hot, and complete. It would have been nice to have fruit, but my daughter loved the rest. We asked for a room near the lift, and they accommodated us, which I appreciate, even though it’s not always guaranteed. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone and will keep coming back. The only drawback was the restaurant: we used to love it when it was MPW, but this time the food and drinks were disappointing. The sides were overdone, especially the buttermilk chicken, and the dough balls were large and too doughy, making them tough. My daughter’s burger was fine, but there were only two dessert options compared to MPW. That’s the sole downside, and next summer we’ll probably look elsewhere for dinner, though if you’re into burgers, shakes, and pizzas, you’ll still enjoy it.
