Manor Court Hotel

“It's good to see a hotel can survive in these difficult times.”

The hotel is away from the town centre, has a restaurant, provides breakfast, and the inner courtyard is nice and pleasant for sitting. It shows signs of age with the decor and style; the paint and woodwork in the public corridors need attention and a brightening up with modern neutral colours would help—get rid of the heavy browns. Rooms 1‑7 face the main road; through the night there was no problem, but early and late evenings the noise was very noticeable.

The breakfast was lovely, the bed was very comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the evening meal was fantastic. The room was on the main road, which was a bit busy.

“A Nice stay”

The location was good and not too far from the places we wanted to visit. We reported a shower problem; they said they couldn’t get a plumber, but it didn’t really need one—just a bar that holds the shower head was broken. It wasn’t fixed, so we had to make do, which was a shame. The staff didn’t address the issue. Information about the pod could have been more informative, e.g., where to take your rubbish. A couple of maintenance issues should be addressed.

“Pleasant stay at a nice property”

The property is in a nice location; on a business trip it was 2 miles from my meeting. I was greeted by a lovely lady named Stacey who checked me in and was very informative. The restaurant forgot about me, so I had to chase them to order an evening meal.

“Wonderfull a tad on the expensive side but worth it.”

Absolutely lovely. Very nice and clean. Wonderful staff. The only downside was being over the door and hearing other customers coming and going.
