The owner was really kind, welcomed us and took care of everything upon arrival. He turned on the boiler so the room wasn’t cold, and since we hadn’t brought a toothbrush he gave us a disposable one. Later, when the bathroom door wouldn’t open, I called the owner and he stayed for 30 minutes to help open it and offered us tangerines as a thank you. The place is near the water‑bear restaurant; you can walk down a wooden‑deck staircase in a narrow alley to reach the busy street quickly. The room was spacious, tidy and pretty. Most of all, the view from the path was beautiful; if I come back I’d stay for at least two nights and spend the whole day inside. It was too cold for a barbecue, but on a good day it would be perfect.
