The staff were friendly and welcoming, the hotel’s location was great, and breakfast had plenty of food; the bed was comfortable, though the room itself looked tired with visible wall marks and some bathroom maintenance was needed, but nothing else was disliked.

The view from the room was fantastic, the staff were very friendly, and the breakfast buffet was excellent; the only question was whether there was a restaurant.

As a solo traveller, I chose this hotel because it’s close to the bus stop, and I arrived and left very early in the morning. I felt very safe here. The room was small and basic but comfortable. It got a little hot at night, even with the thermostat switched off. The Sky bar was lovely, and breakfast was pretty good too. At almost €200/night, I found this expensive for such a small room, but I guess that’s standard for Iceland.

The staff were very helpful, and the breakfast was fabulous. The location was excellent—close to everything I wanted to do. The fire was really lovely, but it was very small, and if there were more than four people in the hot tub you had to wait. The inside bolt didn’t work on the room I got first, which had a pretty good view, so they moved me to a lower‑floor room with twin beds, and the TV kept turning off. The spa area didn’t seem to be cleaned up very often. The floor got very wet, which made it slippery and not great to walk in the slippers they gave you with the robe.
