This must be the best (budget) hotel in Varanasi. Spotless rooms in a quiet location with very friendly staff and great service. What more do you want? Highly recommended and great value for money. Nothing.

I appreciate the hostel vibe because it lets you meet other travelers and see the city from a fresh angle; Varanasi itself is captivating with its age‑old customs, bustling streets, spiritual feel, and unforgettable riverside scenes, and after a full day of sightseeing it’s great to unwind and map out tomorrow’s plans – I had a solid time and would suggest this hostel to solo travelers who value a social setting and want to uncover the city’s soul.

Flying Dutchman Hostel was a good option for my backpacking trip to Varanasi. I appreciated the hostel-style accommodation and the air-conditioned dormitory, which made it a comfortable place to rest after spending time exploring the city. I also liked the idea of staying somewhere where meeting fellow travellers is part of the experience. Whether you are travelling solo or with friends, a hostel can make your trip more social and interesting. The overall atmosphere was relaxed, and I had a pleasant experience during my visit.
