It felt more like staying at my family’s house than a hotel. The place was warm and familiar, the staff were friendly, and not a single night was boring.

The downstairs bar is great for drinks, meals, and chatting; the owner is easy to talk to and you can meet other guests. The location is good, right next to Kawagoe Old Town, and it’s ideal if you want to explore Kawagoe City in depth, being close to the Glacier Shrine. Because there’s no centralized luggage area, it’s best to bring a backpack, otherwise if many guests check in on the same day there’s no place to store luggage. Also bring your own towels, toothbrush, and toothpaste (the owner’s supplies cost extra). The hotel itself is a bit remote, often very dark at night, so it’s not recommended for solo female travelers. Overall, it feels small; I often hit my head in the first‑floor public area.

The staff were kind. After checking in once, I could freely enter and exit 24 hours using a password. Checking out was very simple. The duvet cover’s zipper was torn and couldn’t be closed, making it very difficult to put on the sheets.

The hotel is super close to everything, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and available; we felt almost at home. Nothing to add.
