“Very disappointed”

The location was fine except for the parking garage, which was a tight squeeze to get in and out of. The front‑desk staff were all uniformed; I think there was a new employee who was nice but needed assistance, and when she asked for help it seemed like a big deal to get it. The lady at the desk told everyone that breakfast ran until 10:00, but it actually finished at 9:00 and people were unhappy. I felt bad for the woman trying to get food to guests. This place is not run well; it could be much better under the right person. Customer always comes first, no matter what.

The room was nice and clean, but the phone didn’t work, so I had to go to the front desk for extra blankets and pillows for the pull‑out bed. I was double‑charged, and when I asked them to correct it they charged me again, turning a $290 night into a $900 night—frustrating. There were no materials in the room for places to eat and no TV directory, so I won’t stay there again; it was disappointing.

“Poor aleep because of smoke detector light”

The place is in a good spot, but the blinking smoke detector light on the ceiling near the beds is annoying.

“Very average hotel in great location.”

The location is great, but in the normal world of reasonable prices, we would never pay $800 for this hotel. Housekeeping isn’t available unless you’re a Hyatt Plus member, so they asked me to bring fresh towels from the front desk. The staff seemed confused and understaffed, yet they were polite and tried to help.

“just OK - not great”

The room was spacious and the location downtown was convenient; I didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel, but the staff were friendly and helpful. Garage parking was nice, check‑in and check‑out were easy, and everything nearby was close. However, the shower was broken when I arrived, there was no gel wash in a container, and when I asked for a replacement it never came. The price was outrageous—at that cost I could have stayed elsewhere in downtown Chicago—so it didn’t justify the expense.
